NAAIA DFW Foundation Scholarship Application

The NAAIA DFW Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications.  Winners will  be announced by March 1, 2026 and formally recognized at our Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The attendance of winners will be required. The selected scholarship recipients will be awarded $5,000. 

 

Completed applications are due by February 1, 2026.

Applicants will be judged on the following:

  • GPA 

  • 500 Word Essay

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation

  • Community Involvement

  • Completed Application

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

  • Eligible majors/minors applicable to all applicants:

    • Risk Management/Insurance, Business, Marketing, Communications, Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Legal/Law, IT/Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management

  • ​Applicant must be a permanent Texas resident. Applicant can attend a non-Texas college/university.

  • Applicant must not have been a prior recipient more than twice

  • High School Senior applicants: Provide proof of college acceptance letter to a 2 or 4 year university

  • College applicants: Must be a student at a 2 or 4 year university


REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

  • Official copy of college transcript (Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale)

  • 500 word essay

  • Two letters of Recommendation from a community leader, employer, or professor

  • Headshot/Professional photo

  • Official Transcript

  • Personal Statement of Financial Need: Write a brief statement explaining your financial situation, challenges faced, and how the scholarship would help you achieve your educational goals. 

ESSAY TOPIC: "Insurance and Your Future Career"

Insurance impacts many aspects of our lives and can play a significant role in various career fields. In your essay, discuss how insurance relates to your chosen career or major. Consider the following points:

  1. Career Connection: Explain your career goals or major and how insurance is relevant to this field.

  2. Industry Impact: Describe how insurance influences the industry you are interested in, including any specific examples or case studies.

  3. Personal Experience: Share any personal experiences or observations that have shaped your understanding of insurance in your career path.

  4. Future Outlook: Predict how insurance might evolve in your field and how you plan to contribute to this evolution.

 

Ensure grammar and spelling is accurate. Points will be deducted for incorrect grammar and spelling.

PLEASE NOTE: All scholarship awards are deposited directly into recipients' Financial Aid student account. High school recipients will receive award money once enrollment is verified and Financial Aid documentation is provided. Please contact us at naaiadfwscholarships@gmail.com for any questions.
